Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that returns sponsored results. Colorado Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you send a message through the contact route, the message details are used to respond.
Basic Technical Logs
The hosting provider records standard connection details, including an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the time of each visit. We review these figures in aggregate to find errors and understand general page use. Basic analytics or ad measurement may also rely on cookies or similar tools where enabled.
How We Use It
Operational data helps keep the pages working, repair faults, measure overall traffic, and improve the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or build a profile about a named reader.
Outside Links and Searches
Colorado record portals, libraries, archives, and search providers each set their own privacy terms. Once you follow a link or submit a query to a sponsored search tool, that provider's policy applies to the information it receives.
Who Processes Site Data
Web-hosting and maintenance providers handle technical logs needed to run the service. Analytics or advertising partners may process the limited automatic details noted above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it.
Security and Retention
Connections to the site use encryption, and technical logs are kept only while needed for the purposes described here. The site has no visitor accounts, passwords, or personal profiles.
Children's Information
These pages are intended for adults, not children. If a person under 18 sends personal information to the contact mailbox, tell us and we will review and remove it from our records where appropriate.

Under the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. ยงยง6-1-1301 et seq., covered consumers may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data held by covered businesses and to opt out of certain sale, advertising, or profiling uses. See the Colorado Attorney General's privacy information for current scope and instructions. Colorado Residents Directory keeps only limited operational details, so a request can be sent through the Contact page; we will review the mailbox and relevant logs. Government records held by Colorado agencies are controlled by their custodians, not by this reference service.
